Registered City of Montrose voters returned 5,350 of 15,306 ballots issued for the April 07, 2026 Municipal City Council election, resulting in a ballot return rate of 35%.

In the April 02, 2024 Municipal City Council Election, the ballot return rate of registered voters was 24.97%.

Residents of the City of Montrose, we have improved our voter participation by 10.03 percentage points in the 2026 municipal city council elections compared to year 2024.

Congratulations to the neighbors who voted!

However, with the realization that the city council seat for District 1 was won by only 21 votes, we can recognize that every single vote can make a difference as to which candidate will be representing us.

We need to encourage our neighbors who did not exercise their right to vote, to get out and vote in future elections.

Would we not want for our representatives in government roles to be voted in by at least a majority of registered voters?
